I need any high-tech computer? |

you don't. This site has been designed with speed and
screen resolutions in mind. The design is kept simple
in terms of graphical usage so you don't need to have
a high bandwidth internet connection to view the pages.
For the same reason FLASH is not used either although
it is a tempting technology for creative minds. The site
can be viewed on numerous resolutions (starting from 800x600)
without any difference in experience ... |

I can use any browser I want? |

probably will ... This site has been tested with IE 5+,
IE6+, IE7+, Firefox, Netscape 4+, Netscape 6+ and Opera.
It is inevitable though that this site will show otherwise
then I intended. This is an unpleasant effect of software
companies building browser software completely incompliant
with WW3 standards. The site will look best when you are
using "Internet Explorer" 5.5 or above on a
windows pc. Microsoft is not exactly the finest example
of a company that implements standards but they are the
de facto market leader with windows ... Yeah I know :-) |

When
did it all start anyway? |

some time ago ... my site went officially live on the
5th March 2000. Since then the original design has not
been changed as people tend to like it ... The content
has changed of course during the months. I try to update
the site on a regular basis but as you will notice in
the news section this is not always working out :-) |

you are from Belgium. I thought people are speaking Dutch/French
over there so why is your site in English? |

question ... English is the common internet language and
as such the choice was easy. Most belgian people tend
to speak and understand English. Dealing with a site with
3 languages requires much more work to maintain the site
- time which I rather like to spend on painting. |

you are really not using FLASH? |

| Oh
I do .. for other stuff (mostly professional) ... I have
been thinking about enhancing my site with some flash
stuff and perhaps I will in the near future ... perhaps
... FLASH is quite 'hip' and allows for creative flows
but 'flashy' designers (:p) tend to forget that most people
are not willing to wait 5 minutes before the content is
loaded. (For those who are interested, the average time
a surfer will wait is 30 seconds ... ). |
